GITAM GAT 2018 The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management has released the application form of GITAM and the last date for filling it is March 26, 2018. The authorities had announced the admission dates for this exam earlier. The authorities will conduct #GITAM GAT Entrance Online Application from April 11 to April 26, for the upcoming year for admission to various B.Tech programs offered by the institute in its Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad branches. The university level entrance exam of GITAM will be held in online mode for all the eligible aspirants at the prescribed exam centers. To participate in admission to B.Tech programs, aspirants will have to fill the application form of GITAM GAT and appear in the entrance exam. The GITAM  application form will be released for all the aspirants in both online and offline mode in the third week of November 2017. Candidates are required to check the eligibility criteria of GITAM  before applying for the exam. Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engg. is a professional program which helps students to understand the working mechanisms of heavy tools and machinery.  The branch applies principles of engg. physics and material science for the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. The course covers technical areas like distribution of electricity through generators, transformers, transmission lines, lighting and wiring in buildings. A course in mechanical  engg. makes a student gain knowledge and experience in the designing of electric motors, automobiles, aircraft's and other heavy vehicles. Mechanical side  demands knowledge about software used in technical work like computer-aided design and mathematical modelling.

Mech. Eligibility Criteria

UG: Should have passed Class XII in Science stream with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

PG: Minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks or First Class in the qualifying degree. Bachelor's degree in engg.  and Technology.

Civil Engineering

UG: The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from CBSE or any other equivalent examination board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.

PG: The candidate should have a B.Tech in civil engineering with a minimum passing percentage in an aggregate of the subjects studied at undergraduate level.

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

EI Eligibility Criteria

Aero Space Engineering

Information Technology Engineering

A student holding a degree in Information Technology can work as an IT Engineer responsible for operating computer systems, software, servers, computer networking or network securities. The program focuses on the theoretical and technical aspects of designing, developing, researching and testing software as well as digital hardware. Information Technology is designed to teach students about various fundamental concepts of information security, web systems, computer networking and software engineering. IT Engg. Eligibility Criteria

UG: Candidates passed in class 12th examination with minimum qualifying marks.
PG: For Candidate holding Bachelor of  engg. or B.Tech in Information Technology or B.E./ B. Tech

Electronics and Communication Engineering

Electronics and Communication deals with the electronic devices, circuits, communication equipment like transmitter, receiver, integrated circuits ( IC). UG: Pass in Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Central / State board or its equivalent
Minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

PG: First class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks  RF and  Microwave :- B.E./B/Tech./AMIE in ECE or its equivalent.

VLSI Design: B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in ECE / EEE / EIE / Instrumentation / CSE / IT or its equivalent.

Digital Systems and Signal Processing: B.E./ B.Tech./ AMIE in ECE / EEE / EIE / CSE / IT or its equivalent.

Bio Technology

Biotechnology  is the study, research and development of bio-organism, micro-organism and cell functions in living beings. The course combines this with other subjects like chemistry, genetics, bio-chemistry and microbiology. Biotechnology covers different fields of work like agriculture, disease research, eco-conservation, fertilizers, vaccines, energy production and animal husbandry. The program focuses on areas like Enzymology, GM products and drug designing among others. The integrated undergraduate and postgraduate program in biotechnology  is offered in many technical institutes across the world.

Bio Technology Eligibility Criteria:-

UG: Class XII pass out from a recognized school with minimum aggregate marks of 60%.
PG: Engineering graduates with a B.tech degree.

GITAM  Admission Test Eligibility Criteria in Visakhapatnam


  1. Aspirants must have passed class 12th or any equivalent exam to be eligible for GITAM GAT. They must have obtained at least 60% aggregate marks in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
  2. People seeking admissions into B.Tech Biotechnology are required to pass class XII or equivalent with a minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
  3. Students who will be appearing for class XII exam in will also be eligible for appearing in the entrance exam.
  4. First Rank Holders of the central and all state board exams in will be eligible for direct admissions to the university. They are not required to appear for  GAT.


GAT 2018 Admission Test Fee Details Andhra Pradesh


The application form of GAT 2018 is released by the university for all the candidates in both online and offline mode on November 17, 2017. Candidates are required to submit the application form of  GAT  along with the application fee on or before March 26, . For offline mode, candidates can obtain the application form by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving their names with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs 150/- drawn in favour of  payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. The last date for request of application by post of  GAT is March 24,  and it can be obtained from selected branches of the following banks. Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank.

GITAM University 2018 Entrance Examination


The application fee of college GAT 2018 can be paid through net banking, debit card, credit card and such candidates need not send the hard copy of the application form. Fees of college GAT application form can be paid through the demand draft also. Candidates will have to get a demand draft made for Rs 1000 (Rs 600 for female candidates) drawn in favour payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank at the following address:
